And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

Following up last week’s post 2018 in Review | Weddings, here’s a post on all the engagement sessions I photographed in 2018! I love photographing engagement sessions and offer a significant discount on them with wedding packages because I love getting to know my couples before the wedding day. It lets them get familiar with how I work and makes it easier to be in front of the camera on the big day! Plus, we literally get an hour of time just for portraits right at golden hour… what more could a photographer want?

The first engagement session of the year was Anika and Garrett’s up at Russian Ridge.

Would you believe I have never been to New York City before last February? I jumped at the chance to fly out to the East Coast to photograph Fini and RJ’s engagement session in Brooklyn.

Another location I have been dying to photograph at was the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. All that gorgeous lush greenery set up Jade’s red hair perfectly.

We headed to Sutro Baths and Lands End for Julianna and Sarak’s engagement session, which is always one of my favorites!

I also did a session with Jenna and J at the ever beautiful Rodeo Beach.

After that, I didn’t have any engagement sessions until August, because my time was mostly taken up with weddings! Megan found me through Christie (yes, the Christie that had her wedding at The Pearl SF with Jon!), who was her childhood friend, and she, James and I had such a good time at the Los Altos Redwoods together.

Next up was Kendra and Louie’s gorgeous sunrise session up at Windy Hill Open Space Preserve… my only sunrise session of the year!
Allen and Julie’s Sutro Baths engagement was probably the most crowded I’ve ever seen the place, but we still got some gorgeous photos!
The smoke from the wildfires made for the most dreamy light possible during Brad and Irene’s engagement session in Half Moon Bay.
We did most of Sam and Kacey’s engagement session at Foothills Park, which was absolutely stunning! Watch out for more photos from this session soon!
Finally, I wrapped up the year with Hannah and Josh’s incredible Rodeo Beach engagement session. Still dying over how fabulous their outfits were and how amazing the light was!! Such a dream.
2018 engagement session at Marin Headlands
I hope you enjoyed this round-up of all my engagement sessions in 2018! Next up for review is personal life 🙂 Looking forward to sharing our travels and, of course, more about the wedding!
