And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

Kendra and Louis are from Missouri, but they will be getting married at Saratoga Springs next fall. They decided to do a destination wedding and were looking for redwood wedding venues when they stumbled across my blog post featuring 16 redwood wedding venues in the Bay Area. They fell in love with Saratoga Springs and decided to book it, sight unseen! We managed to meet up over coffee while they were in town checking out the venue and clicked immediately. Luckily timing also worked out for a sunrise engagement session at Windy Hill just a few days later. It was a chilly morning, but the sunrise was absolutely stunning and the light was gorgeous. We had such a good time and it made me wonder why I don’t do more sunrise sessions, haha!

Kendra and Louis met as teenagers and started dating a few years later. Five years later, they ended their relationship, mostly due to it being the wrong time. Despite dating other people, they stayed in contact and five years later, they started dating again. It was very quickly clear that there was no one better suited for them, so they started planning their wedding and the rest of their lives together! Isn’t that the sweetest? I love that they reconnected and found each other again.

Usually, I don’t do sessions at Windy Hill because it is on the wrong side of the mountain for sunset. It actually used to be one of my favorite places to hike during college though (the bottom entrance is just a 10-15 minute drive from Stanford campus), so it was fun to be able to do a session there! We didn’t get too far into the preserve, so we mostly got the beautiful rolling golden hills and stunning, sweeping views rather than the fairy tale forest feel further along the trail!
