And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

Jeff and Carly’s beautiful Half Moon Bay beach wedding was a true DIY affair. Carly’s brother DJed, Jeff’s dad was the videographer, and they made their own invitations and wedding favors. I first met Jeff through solar car, but really got to know him when he joined the Google self driving car project (now Waymo!) a couple years back. Jeff and Carly moved to Half Moon Bay more than a year ago when he left Google and actually just closed on a house there as well, so Half Moon Bay definitely has a lot of meaning to them. Jeff even proposed to Carly on Martins Beach in Half Moon Bay, so it’s no surprise that they had their ceremony on the bluffs above San Gregorio State Beach in Half Moon Bay.

Carly and her bridesmaids got ready in the adorable cottage at their reception site Chateau La Joye, with Carly’s friend doing her makeup for her. When I arrived at Chateau La Joye, Carly’s friends were helping set up the favors and cards table. The favors were tiny little succulents wrapped with teeny twine bows that Jeff, Carly and their friends and family tied one by one. I love that Carly tied everything together by bringing the succulents into the bouquets and even into her hair!

Beautiful flowers make such a difference at a wedding, and Michelle of Flora and Fauna did an incredible job! Carly told me other than the actual getting married part, she was most excited about the flowers, and she definitely wasn’t disappointed! Everyone raved about how beautiful all the bouquets were and I loved the dainty boutonnieres and the precious baby’s breath wand for the adorable flower girl.

It’s often foggy in Half Moon Bay, but the fog didn’t creep in until later, making for a beautiful sunny ceremony on the bluff above San Gregorio Beach. Luckily, Jeff and Carly thoughtfully provided some parasols and sunscreen for their guests! The ceremony was followed by cocktail hour and reception at Chateau La Joye, a charming venue just down the street from San Gregorio Beach. With market lights strung above the dance floor, string lights adorning the reception area and a charming rose-covered gazebo where the bar was, there couldn’t have been a more perfect place for Jeff and Carly to celebrate their marriage. Congratulations to Jeff and Carly! I can’t wait to see photos from their honeymoon in Tahiti 😉
