And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
This Georgia O’Keefe inspired wedding at The Barn at Green Valley is an explosion of color designed by Kate Siegel Events for Rebecca Yale‘s Details 101 Workshop. Kate pulled inspiration from paintings by three incredible, contemporary female artists (Yayoi Kusama and Helen Frankenthaler are the other two artists) and used the incredible floral installation and centerpieces by Max Gill Design, beautiful hand-painted invitations and menus from Underwood Letterpress, breathtaking cakes by Flour and Bloom Cakes, fun cocktails by Paula LeDuc Fine Catering & Events, colorful linens from La Tavola and rentals from Hensley Event Resources, Theoni Collection and Found Rentals to create a cohesive design with elements from the painting woven through every aspect. I definitely need to post a review of Rebecca’s workshop once I have some time to sit down and write, because it was absolutely incredible. Until then, I couldn’t wait any longer to share my favorite photos from the Georgia O’Keefe inspired wedding details with you.
All three wedding vignettes were absolutely stunning, but the beautiful pinks and reds with the accents of gold of the Georgia O’Keefe details completely stole my heart. How incredible is the floral structure with the lush greenery and pops of red paired with the wooden lanterns? And I am still blown away by the gorgeous centerpieces Max Gill designed, filled with brightly colored icelandic poppies and lovely ranunculi. I also love how Underwood Letterpress used the same hand-painted elements throughout the menus, invitations and table numbers, bringing in a splash of gold that was echoed in the ruffles of the cake, as well as the flatware and amazing golden wire chairs. The Barn at Green Valley, an exclusive Paula LeDuc venue, was the perfect setting for the workshop and the beautiful purple Light of Iris cocktail paired perfectly with everything else!
