Thomas Fogarty Winery is one of the premiere wedding venues in the Bay Area. Up in the hills of Woodside, above the heart of the Silicon Valley, it boasts an incredible view of the Valley stretching all the way to San Francisco on a clear day. I was lucky enough to visit Thomas Fogarty on a gorgeous sunny day and we were just able to make out the buildings in San Francisco.

Most ceremonies are held on the beautiful lawn surrounded by gorgeous flowers with a sweeping view of the Bay Area behind the bride and groom.

Some couples choose to hold their ceremony on the open air Pavilion, a covered redwood deck right above the vineyard. This is also a wonderful place for a reception, particularly in the summer, allowing your guests to enjoy the cool night air and views of the valley lit up below.

The Hill House is a great indoor option for a reception and is also where all the dancing occurs. It also has incredible wall to wall windows so guests can still see the beautiful views.

The bridal changing room is attached to the Hill House and there’s another area for the groom to change as well, meaning there’s no need to book additional hotel rooms to get ready in. All couples are encouraged, however, to book shuttles for their guests, as the roads up to Thomas Fogarty Winery are quite windy. This way guests can party the night away without needing to worry about the windy drive down after the wedding ends!

The stats:

Number of Guests: 216 max.

Catering:  Couples can choose for a list of over 10 caterers, all of whom are familiar with Thomas Fogarty Winery weddings. This ensures the quality of service and helps keep the wedding day running smoothly.

Average price: Prices vary depending on the date, with Saturdays and Sundays in June-October commanding the highest prices. Packages range from $7000 up to $11,500.

Standard package: The standard package includes 8 hours in the months of November-March and 9 hours in the months from April-October. Included in the package are use of the lawn area, pavilion, hill house, bridal changing room and changing room for the groom. Thomas Fogarty also provides tables and chairs.

Alcohol: Couples can serve award winning Thomas Fogarty wine, Sparkling wine and Gordon Biersch Brewing Company Beer. No hard alcohol is allowed.
