Sunrise in Paris is the perfect time for an engagement session (not that this was an engagement session!). So early in the morning, it was incredibly peaceful and quiet. It totally felt like we had the city to ourselves, even in the middle of tourist season in August. We went to Paris for a whirlwind weekend to photograph my best friend’s engagement photos. He and his fiance are living in Paris for a few months, and I still can’t believe they flew me out to Europe! I was seriously pinching myself the entire time, haha! Their schedule never quite permitted us to do sunrise photos, but I decided I couldn’t miss the opportunity to photograph a couple at sunrise in Paris.

On our last morning there, I dragged Sam out of bed at like… 5AM so we could make it to the Trocadero before sunrise.We started at the Trocadero and made our way over to Pont du bir-Hakeim. I really liked Paris in general, but I fell in love with Paris at sunrise. And how can you resist that gorgeous light? <3 If you’re ever in Paris, I highly recommend waking up a few hours earlier to greet the sun.

This blue and white chiffon Eliza J maxi dress has been on my wishlist ever since I saw Jean of Extra Petite post about it… It’s a little out of my normal price range, but I finally splurged on it a couple months before Paris. I wore it on my birthday for a photoshoot on Russian Ridge, but I also knew it would be perfect for Paris!
