And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
Elizabeth and Derek reached out to me because they wanted a couples session in San Francisco before they moved away. They chose two quintessential San Francisco locations, Lover’s Lane and Baker’s Beach and brought along their sweet pup Lacey. Lacey was seriously the sweetest and I am so glad Elizabeth and Derek brought her along. We had such a good time wandering down the eucalyptus lined Lover’s Lane before heading to Baker’s Beach for sunset in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. I’m so excited to share their beautiful Lover’s Lane couples session with you guys!
When I asked Elizabeth how they found Lacey, she told me she literally found her at Starbucks!! Apparently, Elizabeth was sitting at a Starbucks one day when Lacey came up. After asking around, it became clear Lacey had no owner… so Elizabeth took her home. Is that not the cutest? Lacey was a total trooper and behaved herself so well while we took photos at Lover’s Lane.
I’ve actually never been to Lover’s Lane before, so I jumped at the chance to photograph there. One of the things I love about San Francisco is that there are beautiful little pockets of greenery tucked in the busy city and Lover’s Lane is the perfect example of this. Despite the busy street right above the path, walking along Lover’s Lane with the scent of the eucalyptus wafting through the air is so incredibly peaceful. I love the way the light filtered through the eucalyptus trees, making for the perfect backdrop. On the way out, we had to stop in front of the fir trees for a more Christmas-y feel, haha!
By the time we got to Baker Beach, it was a little bit chilly, but Elizabeth and Derek were complete troopers. They even got into the water when I asked, haha! Wishing Elizabeth, Derek and Lacey the best of luck in their cross-country move! I am so glad we got these quintessential San Francisco backdrops in for these photos to give them memories of their years in San Francisco.
