And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
When Jade and Cory told me they wanted to have their engagement session at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, I was so excited! Despite being a born and bred Bay Area girl, it turns out I haven’t visited a lot of the famous touristy places. I almost always do my engagement sessions at sunset (with a few sunrise sessions thrown in there), but rain was in the forecast for the weekend. We decided since it was going to be rainy anyways, we could have the session earlier in the day and, luckily, the Conservatory of Flowers is the perfect place for a rainy day session! The lush greenery made for such a beautiful setting for this rainy day San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers engagement session.
Jade and Cory actually met at the coffeehouse that Jade manages. She made him coffee for about a year and a half before he finally decided to ask her out on a flying date. Jade later learned that Cory doesn’t even really like coffee! He just keep coming in as an excuse to see her. Jade and Cory told me they actually don’t have a ton of photos of the two of them together, which is so odd, because they are incredibly photogenic! I had such a good time hanging out with them at the Conservatory of Flowers. It was actually perfect for them, because Cory loves growing orchids, so we had a great time pointing out all the different varieties of orchids they have.
I will say, the one thing that was difficult about the session was having my lens fog up as we moved to rooms with vastly different humidity levels! It was totally worth it though for the photos 😉
