And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
I had the pleasure of attending Danielle Poff’s Intimate workshop a few weeks ago! I actually signed up on a bit of a whim when the dates lined up perfectly with Sam’s company offsite, and I am so glad I did! There were so many great things about the workshop: one on one time with Danielle, a full day of experts of SEO, legal resources, and branding, and shooting time on both days. One of my favorite parts of the workshop, however, was this incredible Reinstein Ranch wedding inspiration shoot, planned and designed by Bari Elexa Events with amazing florals by one of my favorite florists, Kaylia of Tumbleweed Floral Truck, tying everything together. Kelly Design Co. created a beautiful invitation suite, along with menus and some amazing tile table numbers and signs to help set the overall mood of the shoot. Bari created a beautiful vignette of cakes from Ma Petite Maison Cake Design and a charming lounge area with specialty rentals from Found Rentals. The tablescape with Kaylia’s gorgeous florals (how incredible is that hanging installation??), rentals from Pleasanton Rentals and linen from La Tavola Linen was absolutely breathtaking. And, of course, our models were the sweetest, with Brittany looking stunning with hair and makeup by Bay Area Beautiful in a dress from Ivory and Beau.
I challenged myself to shoot it entirely in film and ended up absolutely lovely almost every single shot! I love that film has been teaching me to slow down and be more deliberate about my shots, which was the main reason I started trying out film. It was so helpful having Danielle there to watch me as I metered and offer helpful suggestions and getting to watch how she positioned herself to shoot in that gorgeous golden light we had at sunset. Reinstein Ranch was such a beautiful backdrop for this wedding inspiration shoot, letting the bohemian designs shine.
