And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
Last time I mentioned that my style has shifted to become a little more grown up and put together. Another big change I’ve seen in my wardrobe is a new-found love for color. When I graduated college, I pretty much only owned white, black, gray, blue and pink clothes. I had a handful of clothes in other colors, but they were definitely few and far between. My cardigans and jackets were all white or black or gray and I only owned blue jeans. Now I tend to gravitate towards pops of color (something that totally comes through in my photography as well!). I used to do this with scarves, but I slowly accumulated brightly colored dresses, cardigans and blazers as well. Following this trend, it’s no surprise that when I bought my first pairs of Tieks, I went for bold colors (Clover Green and Cobalt Blue).
A couple weeks ago we had Team Picture Day at work, so I took advantage of that to wear an outfit that is a little fancier than my norm. I also went to the studio and played around a bit with artificial lighting! Since I was alone, I couldn’t set up the backdrop properly, so I just went with the trusty old Inverse Square Law and LR to black out my background.. I wasn’t super careful though, so excuse the sloppy editing!
