And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

So I had a lot of good food (mostly seafood) on the Cape, but my favorites were steamers, fried oysters and hot lobster rolls! Yuumm. (Though the black raspberry ice cream from Sundae School was also excellent) We had lobsters and steamers the second night along with some grilled veggies and steak. I liked the lobster and steamers so much that I actually didn’t have room for steak… which says a lot! Sam and I had to escape inside as soon as we finished our food because the mosquitos were out in full force and I’m a total wimp about bugs. Unfortunately, bugs /really/ like me.

Honestly, I didn’t switch to my 135L because I didn’t want to switch lenses on the beach… and I probably could have gotten almost as good results with my Fuji! I will admit I am still more comfortable with my Mark III though.

IMG_0355IMG_0356IMG_0367A couple of us decided to cross over from the Bay side of the Cape to the Atlantic side, where the waves are much bigger and there’s more potential for fun rocks. Sam and Ethan spent their time racing the waves while Sam’s dad and I combed the beach for white round rocks. There’s something very peaceful and relaxing about looking for the perfect rocks!

We headed back well before the sun set this time, but we still managed to enjoy a stunning sunset from the house before dinner.

IMG_0392Those flowers on the table were leftovers from the backdrop I made for my sister’s wedding. I brought them with us on the flight to give to Sam’s mom, and they actually turned out to be the perfect colors for the Cape house!

IMG_0394IMG_0396I didn’t get any photos of us eating steamers the first time because I was too busy enjoying myself and didn’t want to get butter all over my camera.. but I didn’t want to miss out this time, so here are a few photos of Sam eating steamers.
