And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

Last month, I was completely blessed to be able to take a trip up to Olympic National Park for a little retreat with 9 other photographers. Words are still failing me a little when it comes to talking about the experience, because it was just so incredibly amazing. Funnily enough, not a single one of us knew every other person who went. It was all just a bunch of little connections and various people were invited through others. But it worked out perfectly! Our personalities just meshed so well and everyone got along /so/ well.

I have met up with photographer friends a couple times in the past few years and it has always been a truly incredible experience. Kalaloch, however, was on a level of its own. We hung out and talked and laughed and cooked and took photos and shared secrets and I never wanted to leave those ladies! I’m hoping we can manage to make it an annual thing… or at least every two years!

The setting was absolutely gorgeous. All those trees and moss and the gorgeous ocean… seriously incredible. We were all supposed to teach some little thing–and teaching/leading the boudoir sessions was actually one of my favorite parts of the trip–but for the most part, the experience was more about just being there with all those incredibly creative, sweet, amazing, inspiring women and I came away so refreshed and fulfilled and happy.
