And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

In the middle of our country lies an incredible wilderness filled with sweeping meadows, snow-capped mountains, and pristine lakes. It’s no surprise that Jonathan and Anna decided to have a Glacier Park destination wedding after they fell in love with the gorgeous scenery when they made their cross-country move from Minnesota to the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve made a similar drive when in college during the American Solar Challenge (where colleges across the country build a solar car and then race them on a route that takes them through several different states), but we didn’t make any stops along the way and I’ve always wanted to go back! When Jonathan and Anna reached out to me to about photographing their wedding at Glacier National Park, I definitely had a pinch me moment!

Planning a Glacier Park destination wedding can be a bit tricky because the park essentially shuts down for the winter. Jon and Anna got married in near the end of June, and one of the most famous roads in the Park (The Road to the Sun) literally just opened that week! Jon and Anna originally planned on having their ceremony in Many Glacier, in front of the stunning glacier-carved mountains surrounding a beautiful lake, but thunderstorms in that area caused them to change their plans. Since I was in the area the following day as well, we decided to meet up at Many Glacier for a quick sunset shoot so they were still able to get the photos they were dreaming of!

The last minute decision to hold the ceremony and reception in the same location, a tent in the meadows next to Elk Lodge, ended up being the perfect decision! Not only did we avoid the rain up in Many Glacier, we also had an extra hour in the timeline that we would have spent driving from Many Glacier.
