And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
It’s been a while since I have posted something on this blog other than the Life in Black and White! I am so grateful that I have been part of that group to push me to keep up with my blog. The girls in the circle are just fabulous too!
Here’s what’s been going on in my life for the first three months of the year (in photos, of course!)
In January, I went to Point Bonita with Nathan and his mom. It was a pretty windy day, so the waves were absolutely incredible.
In February, I went to Utah with some solar car friends and took advantage of the snow to get some self portraits.
I was also taking Kate Densmore’s incredible Voice and Visual Intent at the time and got the photo below, which is one of my favorite photos to date!
Because we are engineers, we built an igloo out of snow blocks and smoothed it down with a shovel. We were thinking of listing it on AirBNB (fits 7 comfortably while seated. No AC needed)
In March, my friend Don took me along on a flight down to Monterey. We spent a bit of time at the beach after brunch because… why would you go to Monterey without going to the beach?
It was also the Google[x] ski trip a couple of weeks later. I pretty much only took this one photo from our hotel.
And I couldn’t resist the incredible sky on the bus ride home!
I was also lucky enough to photograph the sweetest wedding in Woodside.
I also went to San Gregorio beach with Nathan
Where I made him run up the hill to stand by a bike that wasn’t ours because it was just too cool!
March was a big month! I got to meet my dear friend Felicia, who I have taken several workshops with. It was so much fun doing a photoshoot with her and meeting her kids and just hanging out.
I started Composition and Creativity with Sarah Wilkerson, and the first week was making sure the subject was <25% of the photo… Definitely got that down 😉
I’ll have to come back and create another post for April-June, because this is getting ridiculously long!
