I am so excited to share this incredible Filoli Garden Wedding inspiration shoot with you all! If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen some photos of all the beauty of this day. Or, you might have seen it on Ruffled, where it was featured! I reached out to Elise of Brannan Events to help me design a styled shoot and she came up with the most amazing concept. Elise took one of the most classic wedding color palettes–blush and sage– and updated it to mauve and emerald green to create this modern, romantic wedding inspiration. It was such a fun, unexpected color combination that feels both elegant and elevated.

We chose Filoli Gardens to host the shoot because of the breathtaking property, views and the gorgeous settings. The gardens and grounds are stunning in all seasons, but it was particularly incredible in spring when we did this shoot. There was literally something new and beautiful to discover around every corner! The beautiful florals by Tumbleweed Floral Truck were perfect for this colorful, enchanted California garden wedding inspiration.

Jen Che Designs created an elegant, modern invitation suite in different mauve tones and a pop of gold from foil printing. Paired with her beautiful calligraphy adorning the emerald green envelope made of handmade kozo paper, the invitations set the tone for the shoot perfectly.

We wanted the shoot to feel like a real wedding day, so we started out with a boudoir session with the bride in the morning. Can we talk about how sweet those fresh picked garden flowers are in that lovely bag!

The ceremony was hosted in Filoli Gardens’ Wedding Place, where one of the previous owners’ daughter was married in 1941. It is historic, romantic and makes you feel like you are in Downton Abbey! Cocktail hour was held by the swimming pool surrounded by the rows of yew trees. The dinner was ultra romantic, next to a pound and fountain display at sunset. One of my favorite touches of the entire shoot were the fun tassels along the bottom of the individually calligraphed, gold foil printed menus.
