And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

I’m still super excited that this dreamy Marin Headlands couple session ended up working out. I got the opportunity to test a camera out for a week, so I, of course, scheduled two sessions for the weekend when I wasn’t working. It ended up pouring on Saturday, so I cancelled my Saturday session. Sunday morning, I got an email from my friend telling me her husband had hurt his knee during jujitsu and had to keep his leg elevated until the doctor came. I was starting to panic at this point, because I /needed/ to get some photos in over the weekend! Luckily, my sister and brother-in-law are always my most willing models. They drove all the way to Rodeo Beach to meet me for this session.

I have been wanting to photograph at Rodeo Beach for a while, but I have never made all the way out there. It’s a stunning location, with the option for photos down on the beach or up in the Marin headlands which are covered with lush greenery after our rainy winter. It wasn’t raining when we got there, but it /was/ freezing! I’d told my sister to wear a long flowy dress and my brother-in-law thought we would be on the beach, so he wore sandals. They ended up bringing pocketwarmers and holding them between photos to warm up their hands!

Even worse, halfway through the session it literally started hailing on us. The hail was falling fast enough that it hurt quite a bit, so we ended up running back down to our cars as fast as we could. The hail stopped before we made it all the way down, so I begged my sister and brother-in-law to indulge me in a few final photos overlooking the beach, which ended up being some of my favorite photos. The Marin headlands are certainly gorgeous and I am so grateful to my sister and brother-in-law for letting me take photos of them there, through wind and hail, haha!
