And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
This gorgeous Pleasanton wedding I second shot for Anita Martin Photography was perfect, from start to finish! I always love shooting for Anita because she has the BEST brides and grooms 🙂 They are always so fun and sweet. This bride and groom were incredibly smart (they met in Stanford Med School!), but more importantly they were also elegant, kind, warm-hearted and so incredibly in love. Their family was just as lovely, and since both the bride and groom are Chinese, many of their family members were much more comfortable speaking in Mandarin than English. It ended up being the perfect wedding for me to help Anita out with, because I could help translate into Mandarin. I loved seeing the awe on the groom’s face the first time he saw his bride. After we finished up with the bridal party photos and were heading back inside, I noticed the perfect pocket of light hitting the sweetheart table. I pointed it out to Anita and she told the couple that she was pretty sure I was going to die if I didn’t get a photo of them there! Haha! So that’s the story behind the black and white photo in front of the stairs. The entire day reflected them so wonderfully, from the stunning blush and cream flowers to the gorgeous venue with the beautiful staircase and elegant pillars to the laughter-inducing heartfelt toasts and speeches. The day ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish. Everything was on time and there was plenty of time between the events for the bride and groom to relax and recollect themselves. We snuck out between dinner and speeches to grab a few photos at sunset, and the sky put on a show for us with incredible puffy clouds and beautiful pastel colors. Then the day ended with some pretty awesome dancing. Even the groom’s grandparents got on the dance floor <3
