And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

Renee and Derek actually reached out for photography for their Saratoga Springs wedding about a year ago, but they ended up going in a different direction. A couple months ago, Renee emailed me because they had decided to elope instead. When we chatted about possible locations for their elopement, Renee fell in love with Hannah and Josh’s gorgeous engagement photos at Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands. She immediately pictured herself wandering the cliffs in a long, flowy dress that blew in the wind hand-in-hand with Derek dressed to the nines in a suit! With the unseasonably rainy spring, we almost rescheduled this session, and as I was driving up to Rodeo Beach, I was eyeing the clouds nervously. The skies parted for the sun as we walked up the cliffs, making for the most incredible windswept elopement photos!

When Renee sent me the outfits she was considering for their elopement session, I knew she had picked the perfect outfits! Renee wore a stunning dress from Lulus with a beautiful beaded bodice and a long flowing skirt, combining both texture and movement! Pro tip for any women trying to decide what to wear for a photo shoot: texture, movement and color all help make for stand out photos! Derek wore a light grey suit and a grey tie… and is there any better outfit for men than a suit and tie? I mean, how amazing do they look walking among the grassy hills of the Northern California coast??

We then headed down to the rocky beach right as the sun was setting behind the rocks, making for the most incredible light. Renee and Derek even braved the freezing Pacific Ocean water to jump on a rock in the middle of the incoming waves. Best clients ever! The clouds ended up with a hint of dreamy orange and pink as they walked along the coast at sunset.
