And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
I met up with Mark and Tina two weeks ago for their sweet Sutro Baths Engagement. Sutro Baths is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. Two out of the three times I have been there, it has been cloudy, but still gorgeous! And all three times, it’s been incredibly windy, haha! I love it though, because it is /so/ San Francisco.
I first met Mark and Tina over coffee after Tina reached out to me about their New Year’s Eve wedding. Their love for each other was immediately obvious and shines through in everything they do. They have the sweetest love story! They met when they were in their teens and actually dated briefly before going their separate ways. A year or so ago they reconnected on Facebook and it’s been a whirlwind love story since then.
Tina is a complete joy to be around, always talking and laughing and smiling… and I loved seeing how Mark would watch her with the sweetest smile on his face, just completely full of love. When we first met up, Mark and Tina weren’t sure that they actually wanted an engagement session, but I’m so glad I managed to convince them to have one, because it was such a blast to get to hang out with them!
We met at Sutro Baths an hour or so before sunset, and the sun was still really strong, so we went up the Lands End to wait for the sun to drop a bit. As we were walking, I realized the sun was dropping behind a bank of clouds and fog, so I had a feeling we weren’t going to get much light for the later half of the session. It didn’t end up mattering at all, because Mark and Tina just lit up every photo themselves <3
Poor Tina was freezing the entire session, but she was a complete trooper and braved the cold, even taking off her sweater at the end of the session when it was the coldest! I cannot wait for their New Year’s Eve wedding in Berkeley at the Shattuck Plaza. I know it’s going to be incredible and so much fun. Anywhere these two are, there’s going to be a party, love and laughter!
