I photographed this amazing, intimate Woodside elopement in the redwoods over a year ago. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to actually blog it. Meredith and Stephen were referred to me by my good friend George and I was nervous about taking the session. I didn’t think I ever wanted to photograph a wedding and, at the time, I had only photographed a couple engagements. But Meredith assured me that it would be a small, casual affair with just their two best friends as officiant and witness. I am so glad that I said yes, because it was an absolutely amazing experience. I am still blown away that they trusted me to be there and take photos for such an important, personal moment. 

I arrived at their house up in the hills of Woodside where we took a couple quick photos before all five of us piled into a car together along with their dog Olive. We drove a couple miles down the road to one of their favorite places to run together. Then we found a beautiful clearing in the redwoods with pretty light and began the ceremony. It was such an incredibly beautiful moment. It seriously made me consider doing something similar, and I always thought I wanted the big, traditional wedding, haha!
