And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.

welcome to my blog...

This sweet Palo Alto engagement session was one of my favorites to date. Patrick was my neighbor in my freshmen college dorm, so it was fun to get to photograph his engagement photos with Julie. They both went to high school in Palo Alto and are actually high school sweethearts! How adorable is that? When we were talking about locations for the session, Julie mentioned Patrick’s backyard because that is where they fell in love. I always love it when my clients choose a location that holds some meaning to them, so I jumped on that suggestion immediately. We started the session at the house. It was pretty much a dream location with lots of beautiful light and landscaping. It was also clear that Patrick and Julie were very comfortable there and I loved hearing about various stories that had taken place over the years.

Julie worked at the Arastradero Preserves a couple summers ago, so we were considering that as the second location for some outdoor photos. We decided against the drive, however, and ended up taking a walk to Elizabeth Gamble Gardens instead, which worked out perfectly! Gamble gardens is an adorable garden only a couple blocks from Patrick’s parents’ backyard. I’ve actually been dying to shoot there for years, so I was excited. I have driven past the gardens several times and I always want to shoot at the charming white gazebo. Julie was really awesome at getting Patrick to laugh, so she made my job easy! They were so obviously in love and I felt so lucky to get to photograph them!
