And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
I have talked about my sister’s wedding a couple times here, but I’ve never actually shared any photos with you! I didn’t take too many photos at the wedding, but I /did/ shoot their engagement session… or should I say, sessions! We actually did two shoots, one down in Southern California and one up here in the Bay Area. My sister went to UCLA for college and grad school (which is actually where she met Arthur!) and she has /always/ been a wimp about the cold, haha! When we were discussing locations for the shoot, she said that she doesn’t have a huge connection to forests–which is a bit of a bummer, because there are some stunning forests around here (uhm, Windy Hill anyone?). She said that she LOVES beaches, but she’d want to go down to SoCal to get any beach shots, because the beaches up here are too cold! Luckily for her, I was going to be there to visit some photography friends, so she and Arthur timed their next visit to coincide.
We picked the stunning Victoria beach and had so much fun! There were some huge waves, so we spent a good 15-20 minutes waiting for the perfect one. My sister and Arthur are such a fun, easy-going couple and didn’t even care that I made them get wet, haha! Stay tuned for Part Two soon as well.
