And thanks for stopping by! My work reflects my desire to add some whimsy, enchantment and beauty to the world. It is my way of sharing a bit of my heart. I love the laughter and smiles, but I am also drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that are filled with emotion. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day, all the little things that come together to paint the big picture.
I’m finally back with the second half of this charming San Carlos in home engagement session with Stacey and Jeffrey! As I mentioned in the first blog post, this session made me obsessed with in home engagement sessions! In the first half of the session, they cuddled on their couch, danced in the kitchen, sat on the countertops, and hung out in bed.
In this half of the session, they moved back out to the living room, where they started dancing to the Beatles. They told me it was the perfect chance to practice for their wedding in Puglia. Mid-dance, Jeffrey noticed their guitar sitting in the corner and Stacey began reminiscing about the earlier days of their relationship. They used to sit and play guitar together often… so they pulled out the guitar and began seeing what songs they still remembered! Charlie, the golden retriever they were pet-sitting that weekend, was particularly happy for this part of the session. He was able to lie on the ground right next to Stacey as Jeffrey played guitar.
We then followed that up with one of their absolute favorite activities… eating ice cream! Totally a couple after my own heart 😉 As an aside, Sam and I have been devouring this delicious “Dreamy Creamy Strawberry Ice Cream” by David Leibovitz. I’m a huge strawberry ice cream fan, and this is the best strawberry ice cream I have ever had. The secret is sour cream! The tanginess of the sour cream really brings out the flavor of the strawberries. Trust me, you won’t regret making it.
But back to Stacey and Jeffrey! When Stacey and I first started talking about this session, she immediately mentioned that they love eating ice cream together. Stacey made sure they both had a pint of their favorite ice creams in the freezer in preparation for the session. Cashew milk ice cream for her, and Ben and Jerry’s for him! Poor Charlie didn’t get any ice cream though, haha.
After that, we went to their backyard and took some photos in their awesome chair. Altogether, it was so much fun spending the afternoon with Stacey and Jeffrey in their home, and I learned so much about them and their personalities! I loved capturing their favorite everyday activities in this engagement session.
